COVID-19 Reopening Guest Guidelines

Updated: Jun 9, 2020

Dear Meraki Spa Community,

We are so excited to come back to work and open our doors again! As many of our clients know, we take the health and safety of our community very seriously. Our practice has always been adhering to the strictest sanitation standards such as minimizing cross contamination where possible, disposing all single use supplies immediately, and sterilizing all metal implements in our medical grade autoclave. While we are working through this new normal, we will take additional precautionary measures and strict protocols to minimize the spread of coronavirus and prioritize the safety of our team, clients and community.

When booking an appointment at Meraki Spa, you are agreeing to all of our salon policies and reopening guidelines. To comply with social distancing guidelines and ensure enough time to thoroughly disinfect between each appointment, we are operating at a limited capacity, To accommodate for the high demand of appointments and ensure our team members have a fulls day wage, we now have a strict 12-hour cancellation policy. No shows and cancellations within 12 hours of the scheduled appointment will be subject to a 50% charge of service. We thank you in advance for understanding and greatly appreciate your support by choosing us for your beauty needs.

Outlined below are the guidelines that we ask our guests to follow until further notice. Please note that the following is subject to change at any time, and we will update our website and social media channels with the latest information as it continues to evolve.

Safety and Sanitation Guidelines

We will be following all the safety and sanitation guidelines provided by WHO, CDC, OSHA as well as the guidance from the state of Massachusetts and our local government.

Masks: All guests and team members are required to wear a mask while inside the spa. Guests that do not have a mask can purchase one at the front desk. If you can not wear a mask for longer than 15 minutes due to any health related reasons we urge you to not schedule an appointment at this time.

Social Distancing and Protection: To comply with the 6 feet social distancing guidelines, there will be an empty work station between each client. Front desk and manicure tables will have plexiglass partitions for extra precaution. Team members will wear face shields during pedicure services.

Hygiene and Disinfection: Our salons are properly sanitized and disinfected before the start, between each service, and at the closing of each day using only hospital grade disinfectants. We have allotted 15 - 20 minutes cleaning time in between clients to ensure everything is above and beyond sanitation and disinfection standards.

Booking: Clients must book appointments in advance to receive services as we can not accept walk-in clients at this time. All appointments

will now require a credit card to hold their reservation. Booking appointments can be made through our online booking or calling/ texting our Newburyport (978-255-1179) and Lynnfield (781-502-1994) location.

COVID-19 Sanitation and Hazard Fee: Due to the purchases of extra necessary PPE and increase in cost of supplies to continue to keep our guests and team members safe, there will be a 10% COVID-19 Sanitation and Hazard Fee applied to your service total.

Upon Arrival: Please text the salon when you have arrive and wait in your car. We will only allow guests with appointments to come inside. Please bring only essential personal items such as your phone, car keys and form of payment. Upon entering, guests are asked to properly wash hands for 20 seconds before the start of their service.

Minimizing Spread: We ask our guests to not touch our nail polishes, nail swatches and retail products. Please ask your nail artists or our front desk staff for assistance. As an added precaution, we will no longer serve complimentary water and tea to reduce health risks until further notice. Please do not bring any outside food or drinks.

Upon Checking Out: After your service, we kindly ask guests to check out and leave immediately so we can properly sanitize and disinfect work stations for our next guests. The waiting area and drying stations are closed at this time. We strongly encourage clients to pick gel polish finishes when possible to reduce the risk of smudging the nail polish.

If you are uncomfortable with any of the guidelines outlined above, please notify us immediately at info@merakispainc.com and we will reschedule your appointment for when we can fully reopen. We thank you for your understanding and patience as we continue our daily lives in this changing reality. Let’s work to protect and care for one another and our loved ones.

With love and gratitude,

Krysteen Ng
